Training
Marco Contini graduated in 1986 with honors from the University Institute of Architecture in Venice, speaker Professor Vittorio Gregotti. He had apprenticeship and collaboration experiences at the engineering firm I.G.P. in Treviso (1984), Bernardo Secchi in Milan (1986), Gregotti Associati in Milan (1987-88), Guido Canali in Parma (1989-90).
Experiences
Through projects and competitions, he has dealt with the relationship between architecture and the environment, exploring the themes of landscape, the use of building technologies and the perceptive and symbolic dimension of space. As a designer and director of works, he has created museums, schools, churches, sports buildings, private and condominium residences as well as restorations of public and private buildings with a particular attention to the implementation aspects and methods of intervention compared to pre-existing ones.
In the last few years, he has been particularly interested in the subject of school building through study trips abroad, participation in competitions and the design of some schools in various Italian provinces. He has been teaching for several years at the Faculties of Architecture of the Universities of Ferrara, Parma, Alghero and the Polytechnic of Milan. He lives and works in a small town in the Parma Apennines maintaining an artisan dimension of the design studio.
